Chris the dashboard in the kit is Left hand drive and converting it to the right side, means the you have to cut it up and rebuild it with some scratch building to right hand drive

I could not be bothered with that and painted the cab windows black to hide the MFU and the wiring in my three trucks
I am NOT drunk Officer, I was just avoiding the potholes

Brel is certainly correct about the carving yourself.

In all honesty it's really not worth the effort unless you plan to stare into the cab a lot !! It's only the dash board and relocation of the steering wheel that shows the viewer. These dashboards are available on Ebay at around £30 or so, if that's what you really want.

Cheers

Hi Ken
I have a couple of questions for you I am wiring up my lights and the MFU for my R620.
I wonder can you tell me which extra bulbs you used for the rear light and also
what is the socket you used for all the extra roof lights you said an aux socket
which is where on the MFU

Thanks

Derek

Hi Derek.

Thanks for writing. The lighting was not that difficult as I used the existing loom of the MFU.

This device is clever to know what's connected and it is possible to wire some extra LED's in parallel to the existing wire loom. For example, the rear lights can be doubled up by joining the extra ones straight to the existing wires as it will run 4 LED's from the same loom with no trouble.

The front roof lights are joined the same way to the headlight main beam wires, only in my case, I have rather a lot. I think the most LED's that you can join in parallel is around 15. The recommended way is to use a separate circuit with a switcher with your own power supply and fuse for safety.

Have a read on the forum as this subject is mentioned a few times.

Cheers

Ken

Sorry that the Photobucket pictures have temporarily disappeared.

This is due to them deciding I have too many on site without giving them money. HO HUM

They should appear again next month when viewing figures go down, so please come back to view them later.

If you would like to see the film of the build then I have done one for YOUTUBE and it's here.

Yes, I've still got her, but on the shelf getting dusty.

I keep looking into the possibility of pinching the MFU out of her for the next model but it would be a travesty. :AR

I suppose I'll have to get another computer. :o
