Yes indeed it does look nice. Well done so far. :AG

Regarding the blank picture spaces above, we had to remove them as their location address has changed.
If you would like to repost them that would be great.

Cheers

Hi Ken, Thanks for the comments , I will repost the picture as when I up loaded then the sizing was wrong, should have left them when I worked out how to get them bigger but hit the delete button :AR George

Hi.
Great build and colour, what rails did you use to give you the extra length?

Hi Lexus, I made them myself from blank rails from B&Q used the originals as template for the front and back and made the middle up size wise, moved the battery box forward a bit and had to cut the middle axle to allow clearance for the lift axle to miss the prop. I cut the prop in half and used a steel tube to stretch it so far all seems to work except I cant get 3rd gear so that's the job for tonight !!!!!!!!!

The gear change is down to the length of the servo arm. It is adjustable in the Tamiya kit.

Hi Lexus, The rails ended up being 420mm on the 2nd attempt first ones were to long, I drive one for a living and measured it then tried to get the model as close as I could. The gap between the rear axles was set by the double rear wings (they are Scania ) then I shoe horned the battery box in the middle. Still adjusting the gears Ken I turned the servo round and put the steering one beside it so the length is not the same as the book, will wait till the weekend when I have more time.

Hi Lexus, Just went to measure , the 4X2 rails that come with the Gigaspace are 390mm I think the first set I made were 450mm but it did not look right.

Great looking model. Any more updates.. Did you just buy standard 6x2 kit and extend with new rails to add the Mid Lift? Id like to do the same but was thinking a Tag Lift

Hi mate, It was the 4X2 kit with new chassis legs, used the real one I drive to get the correct wheelbase (ish) bit of a tight fit for the battery box and mid lift. The cab is at the painters ( :( :AR could not get the finish I was happy with using the cans) should get it back tomorrow :D . Been playing about with a trailer build today try and get pictures up soon
